Critical Overview of Oliver Stone's
Historical Film, "JFK"
[
send me this paper ]
A 23 page paper which examines how Oliver Stone's 1991 film, "JFK,"
was a form of dramatic expression which presented itself as a historical
docudrama, emphasizing the collective public suspicion aroused the so-called
factual findings of the Warren Commission's report on the assassination of
President John F. Kennedy. Specifically considered is whether or not a film like
"JFK" shapes history, if such a film can adequately 'make' history, if
the film should be considered as a product of the historical process or as an
artistic expression of history, whether or not the filmmaker has
responsibilities as to historical accuracy, or is allowed to use "artistic
license," and the challenges confronting filmmakers and historians
concerning the depiction of actual events. Bibliography lists 15 sources.

JFK: Who Wanted Him Dead?
[
send me this paper ]
10 pages in length. Attempting to determine just which group or individual
wanted John F. Kennedy out of office has been one of the most compelling, yet
ever-elusive, aspects of the president's assassination. A worthwhile topic for
one's research paper, evaluating the various conspiracy theories will help to
bring together all the massive speculation that has lived on throughout the
years, sometimes with very little proof to substantiate the claims. Clearly,
there was more at work with regard to JFK's assassination than that of a lone
lunatic; as the student puts to use the various articles in this series, there
will at once be a significant sense of understanding as to the diverse
possibilities incorporated in the many conspiracy theories. This paper consists
solely of an annotated bibliography of eight sources.

the plight of African Americans prior to this period. Bibliography lists 5
sources.

President Kennedy's Civil Rights Legacy Analyzed
[
send me this paper ]
A 5 page paper which questions whether President John F. Kennedy actually left
behind a legacy of civil rights, or if it was merely a facade created to
perpetuate the slain leader's memory. Specifically considered are whether or not
JFK actually achieved anything in civil rights, why or why not, and the motives
behind his involvement in civil rights. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

JFK: Conspiracy or Tragedy?
[
send me this paper ]
10 pp) This November 22 will mark the 35th anniversary of the slaying of John
Fitzgerald Kennedy. And as the memories return for some, the cottage industry
that endlessly theorizes about the "truth" behind Kennedy's death will
continue to do battle against the stodgy "Lee Harvey Oswald, acting
alone" establishment on a scale bordering King Kong and the airplane. I
personally support the tragedy - one gun one crazed killer theory. Bibliography
lists 7 sources.

The Assassination of JFK
[
send me this paper ]
This 30 page paper considers the varying perspectives on the assassination of
John F. Kennedy. This paper considers two specific theories: the view promoted
by the federal government that supports the single shooter theory (the crime
committed by Lee Harvey Oswald) and the less popular perspective that the Mafia
was involved in the plot to kill JFK and utilized Marilyn Monroe as a contact.
This paper further supports this second theory, based on the lack of solid
forensic evidence to support the first theory and the elements that support the
theory of Mafia involvement. Bibliography lists 20 sources.
